One of our lovely members, Lindy volunteered to run our first craft meeting where we were all given the chance to make a greetings card. I had a very special recipient in mind for my card. My friend from the age of 7 was turning 50 in a few days so there were lots of ideas going round in my head, but with no real idea of how to turn them into a card worthy of my lovely friend.
I had chosen a design which if I wasn't too cack handed would turn into a beautiful, graphic image of a 1950's bombshell (no pun intended... well perhaps a little one) with a 3D fabric skirt.
In between the 3 C's (coffee, cake and conversation) I managed with Lindy's help to get half of my card made... 2 hours flies by when you are busy being creative! I took some tips home with me and managed to finish my card before the day of the big birthday. I'm very pleased to say that my friend loved her card and was suitably impressed by my efforts, which you can see below...
