Bombshells, Bingo and Beetle, Cocktails, Coffee and Cake!

September has been a great month for the Bombshells with coffee mornings, a cocktail evening, afternoon tea and a Beetle and Bingo night to conclude.

Silly but fun, our September meeting was an absolute giggle, we played Beetle and we played Bingo.

It's not what the Committee had organised, but they are a great committee so when our speaker unfortunately became unwell and was unable to attend (we wish him well and hope that he may be able to join us in the future) they put on their thinking caps, (what is thinking a cap by the way?) and devised last night's entertainment.

Six rounds of Beetle was followed by tea and cake, with a choice of carrot or chocolate, and both were delicious, so thank you to the ladies who baked and thank you to the ladies who organised and served. Suitably refreshed, we set to on the bingo, where there was raucous confusion as to whether we were playing lines, double lines or full house. Our worthy winners had a table full of prizes to choose from and we played on until the last of the prizes had been chosen and our evening drew to a close.

Earlier in September our first Cocktail Night hosted by our President and the committee at our President's home was held. All the best occasions look effortless, but it is only ever due to the work that has gone on behind the scenes, and we thank the committee for their dedication in so selflessly choosing and testing all the cocktails in advance of the big night. I commend their choices, having myself sampled more than one. The invitation to cocktails had included the instruction of 'dress to impress' so it was a glittering array that congregated at Sandra's home that evening. As you can see from the pictures below we all had a fantastic time and would like to thank Sandra and the committee for all of their hard work in organising. This was a fundraising event and we certainly managed to raise a good amount to line our coffers so that we can afford to offer more fantastic meetings in the future.

Our wonderful social secretaries continue to plan extra events to be enjoyed between our meetings, we always have at least 2 or 3 coffee meet ups a month and now and then something a bit more extravagant... Lorena organised a wonderful afternoon tea at Camelia Botnar Garden Centre and the concensus was that it was the best yet!
