Our last meeting was a dream for any certified chocoholic, we had an amazing array of homemade and shop bought goodies to sample! There was absolutely no way any of us would miss out on a right royal chocolate binge.
From brownies to biscuits, cupcakes to rocky road and a couple of wonderfully crafted cakes and delicious gluten free truffles, we all went home full and in awe of our fellow Bombshells’ creativity and generosity. And not only that, there was so much on offer that we all got the opportunity to take home a delicious doggy bag... I for one could be seen grazing on choccy treats for the next couple of days.
To keep us occupied while we savoured the sweet brown stuff we exercised our minds with a tricky chocolate quiz... With questions testing our memories of chocolate advertising slogans from the present day right back to when we were kids (or a lot younger) and an ‘Identify the Chocolate Bar’ picture quiz... The meeting was a quiet one, as we chewed, savoured and mmmmmed our way through an unending supply of chocolate delights, and cogitated, conferred and whispered our answers. There were several amusing spellings of Ferrero Rocher, but we it turned out that we all knew our chocolate so it was a very close run thing with the victorious team winning... yes you've guessed it more chocolate!
At the end of the meeting, just in case we hadn’t already had enough chocolate, we drew the raffle which saw everyone win a chocolaty prize to take home.
I went off chocolate for a while afterwards, but not for long!
Our next meeting (Tuesday May 31, 8pm) celebrates everything Eurovision, and as Sam Ryder did so well for the UK we can hold our heads up high as we sample foods from across the Eurovision nations. Congratulations to the wonderfully uplifting winning song from The Ukraine, if we were going to come second, it was a privilege to come second to them.
Please check your emails, Facebook and WhatsApp for more information on the upcoming meeting.
